England Rugby Team for Sunday’s Match Announced

The England national Rugby Union team to face off against the Irish team at Six Nations Rugby competition was announced on Friday, 27th February. It can be said that there were no surprises at all in the team selection. Only two changes were made.

One of the two changes had to be made. The 29 years old Mike Brown who plays in the fullback position for Harlequins is removed from the squad to play against Ireland on account of injury and 26 years old Alex Goode who plays for Saracens will join the team to take his place. The 21 years old Jack Nowell will play in the wing position for the England Rugby team as the 24 years old Jonny May is not in the squad.

The aforementioned changes were not surprising for the team and some are considering that the England rugby team is in a good position and that they are likely to win. It is being considered that the England Rugby team along with being in a solid position are also absolutely ready to take on the Irish team.

The England Rugby team had two weeks in hand to prepare for the match scheduled to take place on Sunday, 1st March at Dublin and the signs of the English squad before the match suggest that there is no apparent reason for which the English team may lose the math on Sunday.

The last time England National Rugby team was able to secure their position in the Grand Slam position of Six Nations Rugby was 12 years ago. The exclusion of the 24 years old Jonny May from the squad on account of noticeably poor performance is a warning for the rest of the players of the team. It is said that there is no place for sentiment in these matters. An individual failing to perform is always excluded from a team and this is known to the players.
