Harlequins are proud to make the announcement that six members of the U18s side of the victorious club will join the Academy. They will join the academy for the 2017/18 season and for full time.

Elite Player Development Group (EPDG) members and Premiership U18s Champions Max Coyle, Jake Hennessey, George Head, Cadan Murley, Marcus Smith and John Okafor all will join the Academy for the full time in the next season. The announcement in this regards was made at by the top authorities of Harlequins.

By making a comment on the announcement, the   Director of Harlequins Global Development, Tony Diprose said:

“It was a really a very tough process in selecting these six boys to join the academy for full time for the next season. We already had talented players within our U18s team. However, all six players who have been selected in the team stood out from the group. And thus, we decided to look forward to train and develop these players into the best rugby players they can be.

“Their pathway is now clear and obvious; they can follow the likes of Jack Clifford and Kyle Sinckler who have graduated from the academy recently into our first XV and they are onto full international honors.”

Max Coyle is from the Reigate Grammar School and good at Wing/Fullback, George Head is from Tonbridge School and he is good at loosehead prop, Jake Hennessey is from King’s College School Wimbledon and good in center position.

Nevertheless, all the newly selected players are happy to be the part of the team and wanted to be groomed in the best way. They all are talented players and not it is up to the team, how it will use the talent of these players to make their performance better.
